Week 22 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Family and Friends!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great day!!!!!

We as the Zone of San Juan went bowling and since it is Halloween I used a wig that looked like clown hair it was really fun!!!!!

But this week was super awesome. First off we were able to see miracles throughout the week. But something I wanted to share with you all today is I learned that every single missionary is truly a representative of Jesus Christ and he is guiding each and everyone of us to find those who truly need this Gospel!!!! We were contacting in an area that I have never been and we didn't know which direction to go so I asked Elder Guare and he said that way to go left, we went that way and less than 10 minutes later we found a family of 5!!!!!!!!! I have been able to see the true hand of God in my life and in the lives of everyone I come into contact with!!!!!!! I know that the Lord sent me here to learn something very important and I can tell you all I have learn to how be a true man of God and be the best that I can.

I have seen so many different things that have helped me in this life. Something that I learned not just from my amazing Father today in my letter, but my companion. I learned that it doesn't matter if we are emotional in public or not honestly that's something that God gave to us. I have been able to see many experiences from my mission that have helped me grow closer and stronger.

I have to say that Elder Guare is one of the best companions I have had, I know that I say that about all of my companions but there is something so special about him that I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have had to be here with him. He is a great missionary and he has showed me how to serve the Lord with a humble heart. I have learned at times throughout my mission that I think I am better than others and I can't be like that here as a missionary and I have seen Elder Guare show me the best example of that serving humbly. I know that it is one of the most important things we can do as members of this amazing gospel.

I love you all so much and miss you tons!!!! I know that the Lord is watching out for each and everyone of you and that he truly does want the best for us!!!!!

I can't wait to see you all soooooo soon. Please keep strong and never give up!!!!

Week 21 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Family and Friends;

This week was great for us!! We are seeing so many miracles!!!!

Church Yesterday was actually really good. We had the wonderful opportunity to have President Boucher there with us. He is awesome. He is always watching out for us and making sure we are all happy and doing good.

Yesterday we were able to have two investigators at church. A y E. It is a couple that we found and they have a date for the 13th of Nov. I am so happy to see them growing and coming closer to Heavenly Father.

Something that I learned this week is that our Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us. He loves us so much that he gave us such a beautiful plan. He gave us a plan that we all can learn and follow and we will be able to return to live with him again. I know that if we follow this plan that we will be blessed and that the Lord will be our "Lawyer" in front of God. I know that we have to do all that we can here to be able to return to Heavenly Father. He is waiting for each and everyone of us to return to him and be able to give him a hug again.

I know that this is the true church I know that we all go through hard times in life but those hard times help us to grow and learn and that way we can be able to return with the knowledge that we need to have.

I love you all and miss you tons. Wow I can't believe that my letters are at 21 that means only 3 letters left. I hope you all have a great week and I will see you soon.

Week 20 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Family and Friends;

This week was so much better for us. I was able to learn so much about us as a companionship.

We were able to see miracles this week!!! I love the Lords work, I know that he called me to be his representative. I know that this is the Only true church.

This week I learned something very important. That is what kind of Faith do we have and are we willing to show our faith in all that we are doing???

I learned that the Faith is something very important in this work. The Lord needs us to show our faith because if we don't he will never be able to work through us. We will only be a person walking the streets lost. I know that at times we feel like we have lost our faith but from many examples that we all, especially from the Book of Mormon. We all know the story of Alma the Younger. But I want to focus on Alma the Father, we all know that he had faith in his Father in Heaven that his son would change. It was after much prayer and fasting that he was able to see the answers to his prayers. I know that we are all waiting for answers and we all end up losing a little faith at times, but I want you all to know that we have the ability to have the faith all the way through our trails.

Here recently we have had a really hard time with finding new people to teach, but our District Leader has told us to go into the street with Faith to find and this week we really focused on doing that and we were able to find 4 new investigators!!!!

I have a very strong testimony about Faith. We have to show our Faith in Christ, I know that he lives and that he loves each and everyone of us.

One of my favorite scriptures is Ether 12:6 where it talks about the trial of our faith.

I love you all so much and miss you tons!!! I know that the Lord has been watching out for each and everyone of us. Please have a great week and remember that we need to have faith in Christ and he will help us.

Week 19 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Hello All

Family and Friends!!!!!!

Where do I start??? I am really enjoying my mission!!!!

This week we were able to set a baptismal date for the 30th of October!!!! He is super cool his name is W and he is super interested in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!!! I have seen changes in him already and we have only been teaching him for 2 weeks!!!!! He is such a great guy.

But now for the part that I love to do is talk about something that I have learned and it is something that we all can learn and need to learn. That is we are all going to have trials and tribulations in our lives. The Lord has given us these trials to teach us a very important lesson, we all have had these trials in our lives, I want everyone to know that it is normal, But I have come to know that the Lord loves each and everyone of us, he is always by our sides and will never ever leave us alone!!!! One of my favorite poems is Footprints in the Sand. It has a great message, the Lord will always carry us through our hard times. He has helped me and helped all the people I have seen enter the waters of baptism. I want everyone to know I love you and you all mean the world to me!!!! You have helped me through the hardest and the easiest times of my life. I know that the Lord has blessed me with amazing family and friends I love you all and miss you tons!!!!! Before we know it we will be reunited again!!!!!

Week 18 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Family and Friends;

What a week!!!!!

First off this week was transfers........

Good News I am staying here in Pontezuela.

Sad News Elder Lopez is heading to Toa Baja.

Happy News my new companion is Elder Guare, he is from Guatemala also!!!! I was his district leader when he was in Arroyo!!!!!

But this week was better for us. We were able to find this really cool guy named W. He is so interested in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is a great guy. He came to conference and loved it. He is really willing to change his life. I love that he has decided to listen to us. He is so awesome.

But honestly this week the miracle that I saw was when I was on exchanges with Elder Nelson!!!! We weren't finding anything at all. But that all changed at about 4 in the afternoon. We were contacting and we contacted this house and this sister walked out she was a little hesitant at first. But that all changed she opened up really fast and she asked if we knew a book that we could recommend to her and it just so happened that I had the Book of Mormon in my hand and we said yes you can have this one and then asked us for one for her daughter. Long story short she is stinking prepared and she has a baptismal date for the 16th of October!!!!

But I want to share my thoughts about the conference this weekend. I was blessed to receive many blessing but there was on that really struck me. I had the question to know how I could know for myself if I have been truly forgiven? Boy they really did hit that subject this weekend. I loved how they really focused on our Heavenly Father and he loves us and wants whats best for us, and that of course he has forgiven each and everyone, he really wants what is best for us and wants us to be happy.

I want you to know if I can go through something as hard as I had to, to be here on this mission learning the things that I am learning, anyone can do it. I have been able to learn from the hard times in my life and be able to grow and be even better. I know that the Lord loves me and all of us. I know that from the mistakes that we make that we will be forgiven. I know that we all have those extra chances in life to be better than we are. Do worry about what happened in the Past focus on the future and you will see the blessings. I love you all so much and miss you tons.

One video that I came to love is about a man who made some mistakes in his life but he changed his life around and he is happy now.

I love you all and miss you tons!!!!!

Week 11 in Ponce 2

Me in my suit
Family and Friends

What a week!!!! I love it here in Ponce!!!! I am learning so much and we are trying to improve as missionaries.
This week we really focused on how we can get the right members to help us with our investigators. This took a lot of praying and actually fasting. But we found them!!!!!!

It was so cool so first off we have...

M and S  - and they are rocking it they are doing everything now it was so cool first off Elder Fox and Elder Lopez had a Family Home evening thing with some of there investigators and some members and so they called us up and asked us if they could invite them so Elder Robinson and I talked about it and said go for it, they invited them and it helped M so much he really wants to get baptized. After this the next day there was an activity for our ward and the member asked us for their number to invite them and so they both showed up to the activity and really enjoyed it and are making a lot of friends, after this there was actually another activity for the stake and M showed up (S was going to come but there was an emergency at work) so M got talking to the Stake President and made friends with him and just went and enjoyed everyone's company. The next day was Sunday and M and S both showed up at church!!!!!!!! It was awesome they participate in the classes its so cool to see the ward help us. Later that night we had a lesson with them and we went to a members house and he is a Sealer in the Temple in the Dominican Republic temple and it just so happened that we were talking about Marriage, Temples and Priesthood. They really helped us and you could just feel the Spirit so strong in that house.

Next we have a sister named M and boy did the Spirit really tell us who to use. We were sitting in her house and we were talking and all of a sudden 7 gun shots went off and M started to freak out because she didn't know where her son was, she got a hold of him on the phone and so the member stood up gave her a big hug and sat down with her and so M had her face in her hands and was crying so the member looked at me and said I am going to say a prayer, after the prayer we just sat and listened to the Spirit and I got the Impression to Sing "Abide with me Tis Eventide" and in the Second verse it talks about how, if we walk with the Savior, He will give us peace in our lives. M really liked the song after this we shared with her our testimonies and the member gave her her number and told her to call her whenever she need help with anything. After the lesson we asked M to say the Closing prayer and in her prayer she said "thank you God for giving me my new friend and for protecting my son." That was one of the most powerful lessons I have been in here in my mission, I am so grateful for the Spirit and the way it helped us to have a member in that lesson.

Lastly we have P and L and family and things aren't looking so good. they aren't reading and they are keeping any of there commitments. We have asked them to come to Church and every week they say Yes but then Sunday comes a long and we give them a call and none of them answer their Phone so we always pass by their house and see what is going and how come they didn't come to church and for 3 weeks in a row they have told us that they are having car problems and they can't make it, but the sad part about all of this is that we see them driving in their car that same day. But we are just showing love for them and really try to find out what we can do to help them. We have had different members invite them even and they just don't show up.

This is what happened this week I am so grateful for this Gospel and all that it has done for me. I know that the Lord is watching out for me. I can really testify now that Prayer and Fasting really help when trying to get the right answers!!!!

I love you all and I am grateful for all that you guys do for me.

There has been a lot of rain here and it is SOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Ponce: Week 8

Family I love you so much!!!!!

This week was great and bad, we are getting a lot of things taken care of but also we are loosing people.

First off

My Favorite talk from Conference was from Henry B Eyring's talk from Sunday Morning I had some questions about The Holy Ghost and receiving answers and Elder Fox told me to go to Conference with my questions and I did and he spoke exactly what I need to hear and it really helped me.

I also really liked Devin G Durrant's talk and I have actually picked my Scripture and I will be Ponderizing Alma 42:31 I really like this scripture!!!!!

3 New Apostles what the HECK!!!!! Saturday Morning I called that Ronald A Rasband would be called to be an Apostle don't ask me why I did, I just did!!!!!

I love Conference so much it always helps me to grow to be a better person!!!

Now on to our week!

We are doing good. we are struggling with Y. she was doing so good and then she told us she didn't want this anymore and she was done but I was able to talk to her and get another lesson with her so we taught her about how if she had problems with anything that she could come to Conference and she really said ok she will come. Sadly she never came instead she was moving all of her stuff because she was getting kicked out of her house, I believe right now she just moved back in with her boyfriend, I feel as if I messed up or it just isn't her time. She didn't give us her new address but she is still in our area so we are going to have some fun contacting her new area and we will find her because I know this is what she needs.

On the bright side of our week we have M and S and they are really doing good. S has given up Coffee and M has given up smoking and they are starting the papers for their weeding!!! We have them planned to get baptized on the 24th of this month!!!!! M and S both showed up to Conference Saturday and they loved it. S asked where she could watch and or listen to them again. Then M showed up to the Priesthood Session and really liked it.

This week I learned that Elder Robinson is teaching me more than I can ever teach him.

Also the Lord has really heard my prayers!!!! I was having a fear to talk to people for a long time and now I don't have any fear and I am talking to everyone I see and I couldn't be more Happier.

I love you so much and thank you again for everything.
