Week 7 in Ponce

What a week!!!!

To start off I have finished week 1 of training and it is so much fun. I feel that this is teaching me more than it is teaching Elder Robinson. We have seen a week of firsts!!!!

Elders Moss and Robinson
This is the first time I have seen a baptism going so well and then the last day before their interview relapse and have to change the date!!! Yes we were going to have a baptism this past weekend but she did relapse, but it is ok she is making great progress and she really does want to change!!!!! She is making all the adjustments that she needs to, to be with her Father in Heaven again.

Also this week we saw a milagro happen!!!!!!! We have a couple that is really wanting to get baptized but they have to get married first and the boyfriend is really struggling with getting married!!!! But just yesterday I received a call from the husband and he asked me if I could move his date and I said yes we can go to the 24th of October and he told me that was to far - could we move it to the 17th of October I said of course but you do remember that you have to quit smoking and your girlfriend has to quit coffee and you still have to get married and he said yes we know we both are stopping with those things and we are planning our wedding right now so we will be getting married the week before that.

That was a wonderful experience!!!! Something that has really helped me this week is knowing that I am going to be able to speak to anyone. I have to do a lot of the talking and so I have gotten rid of my fear of talking!!!!!!

I love you all and miss you so much!!!!
One thing I want to leave with you all is that I know that this gospel is true and that I love this gospel and am so grateful for all the blessings it has brought to me and to all of you.

 4. Elder Robinson - how's he doing? How are you getting along (I know I asked this question earlier!) What are some of the things that you like about him so far?
Elder Robinson is AWESOME  he is really understanding the language and he can help in a lot of the lessons, there was one lesson that I had the wonderful opportunity to translate because one of the investigators spoke English and Spanish but the other only spoke Spanish so everything that Elder Robinson said I translated it for the one in Spanish it was so cool and she really understood my Spanish. I like a lot about him, he is so motivated to work and to learn the life of a missionary!!!!

5. Being a trainer - What do you like about it? What's hard? What's easy? Was it anything like you thought I would be?
Training is nothing like I expected it to be I was really nervous but I realized I don't have to be that he is just another companion and we are going to get to work.

Week 6 in Ponce - There's a new trainer in town!

This week was a great week I am so grateful for all that I have learned!!!

This week is transfer week and I am happy to say that I will be staying in Ponce but I am sad to say that Elder Heward and Elder Lopez are not my companions but the stressful news is I actually don't know my new Companion - I will be training a new Elder straight from the MTC!!!!!!

This week was great!!!! We had a baptism!!!! John is a great guy and I am so happy he decided to come to the fold of our Father in Heaven.

I don't have much time my companion has to pack but I wanted to let you all know that I am doing great and I love you and I will be sending a lot of photos home next week with our baptism and our activity with the District.

I love you all and miss you so much!!!!

Please send packages and letters to the mission office from now on. Sometimes people get letters and packages after transfers and it takes a lot of work to get them to the missionaries, so they have asked us to have all letters and packages sent to the office and then when we have meetings with the Zone we will get them!!!!!

Week 5 in Ponce 2

This week was really good and hard. I am really enjoying the mission. We are finding a lot of new people to teach!

Hopefully this weekend we will be able to have a baptism and be able to bring a lost brother to this Gospel.

I really love being able to serve a mission!!!!

I have learned so much and I am enjoying learning a new language! It isn't the easiest but I am really trying to do my best!

I want you all to know that a mission is not for everyone. it is not anything that anyone expects, but it is what has helped me to become a better person. I have really been able to grow. I know that a lot of people are trying to decide what to do - I would recommend a mission.

I also want you to know how much this gospel means to me and how much I love it, I am so grateful for all the love and support you guys give to me. All the prayers they are helping me.

I love you all and am so grateful to be able to have family and friends like you guys who are always there for me!

I love you!

PS.  I am doing great Mom. Always working here - there isn't a time I am not working and walking around!!! I love it here so much, just the other night we had a big thunder storm it shook the whole house for almost 30 minutes!!!!! [Here's a picture of how they had to cook without power!]

Ponce: Week 4 - Come unto Christ

Happy Labor Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Family and friends!!!!!!!

How are you doing????

I am doing great here in Ponce!!!!! I really love it here and I am really loving working in a trio.

Here we are having some good success we are finding new people, and helping people come closer to Christ this past weekend we had 8 investigators at church and 7 out of the 8 stayed for all 3 hours and they liked it, they are really great people.

I am really loving serving a mission it has really helped me to grow and change spiritually and really help me to take a look at the whole picture of my life and to know what the Lord wants for me, I know that Heavenly Father has plans for me and I am ready to find those plans.

For all of you who are trying to decide on what you want to do with you life I would highly recommend a mission, for multiple reasons one it is one of the best things in this world, two it helpes you grow and you have the opportunity to help others come unto Christ, three it really shows how the Savior served while he was here on the Earth he served everyone until he was crucified and he is still serving people. He is the best example that we have of a person that really serves everyone and it doesn't matter who it is he will serve them and love them.

Here in the mission I have really learned to love the people and come closer to my Savior and Redeemer, he will always be there to help us and never leave us alone, he has blessed my life so much and I love him so much.

Our Brother Jesus suffered for us, he sacrificed his life and he bleed from every pore, and the least that I can do for him is serve our father and try to help bring our lost brothers and sisters closer to him, a verse that I really like in the Book of Mormon is Moroni 10:32 it says "Come unto me and be Perfected." That is what were are here to do not only for ourselves but for all of our Brothers and Sisters. We are here to help them Come Unto Christ.

I love you all and I hope you have a great day and week and I can't wait to hear from you next week.
