Week 17 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Family and Friends;

This week was a hard week for us. For starters the whole island of Puerto Rico was in a blackout. Second no one really wanted to talk to us.

But this week I had the wonderful opportunity to really think about my mission. It was this week that it really hit me that My mission is coming to an end. I have come to realize that I am getting sad that it is coming to an end. But I have also realized the importance of all that I have done here and the call. This call is not from man but from God himself. If it is from God then he will make it possible to complete it. Yesterday we were talking about Obedience in Gospel Principals and we all know one of the greatest examples of Obedience (Nephi)  we know that he was given many things that were hard to complete but he had a good attitude about it, and he was willing to do whatever the Lord called of him. The Lord himself is leading the church today and he is calling his sons and daughters to different callings. We have to remember that every calling that we receive is from God himself and he has confidence with us. I really like a quote from Elder Holland from last conference (its on of the photos below). It is true Heaven is there for us and will never leave us alone to do this work.

I hope that this weekend we all will be able to have the wonderful opportunity to watch General Conference and learn new things and know that all these Brothers and Sisters are called of God and they are going to teach us what we need to know and what the Lord needs us to hear. We have been given a challenge as a mission to go into the Conference with a question that we need answered or want answered and listen carefully to all the talks and your questions will be answered.

I love you all so much and miss you tons. I know that this is the true church and that we are in the truth. I know that Thomas S Monson is the Prophet of God and that he has been called of God to lead and guide us here. I can't wait to see you all so soon!!!! Have a great week!!!

Week 16 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

 Family and Friends

This week was very different. But it was good, I love the mission and I wouldn't change it for anything I have been able to learn so many new things and old things. I love that we are always learning. I love that we are able to learn things, we all have the ability to have new knowledge.

This week I have been able to learn a lot about loving the people. The people are children of our Heavenly Father, they are our Brothers and Sisters, and we should we do all that we can to help them. I know that our Heavenly Father has given me this beautiful opportunity to work so close to his children. I have learned that when I show love for others I am also showing love for me and my Father in Heaven.

I have also learned that Sacrament is something very important. I have been able to bless the Sacrament for about 2 Months now in Spanish and I have come to love it and to understand it better, for some reason I have been able to understand a lot in Spanish more than English, (its weird I know) but I have learned that the Sacrament is something that we have to help us to always remember that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants the best for each and everyone of us. I know that we have been given many different blessings and gifts. I know that the Lord wants the best for everyone and that there is why we have so many missionaries.

I love you all so much and miss you so much. I know that this is the true church and that we are all sons and daughters of Heavenly Father. I hope you all have a great week!!!!

Week 15 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Family and Friends!!!!

This week was better for us. We are seeing very little miracles but those miracles are helping us keep looking forward!!!! But I have learned something very important from this I have learned that the Lord will provide a way for everything.

I have come to learn and know that the Lord is in his work and he will make sure everything is done the way he needs it to be. I love how that the Lord needs us and then when he calls us, we feel unprepared!!!!

I have honestly felt unprepared all of my mission but as I am coming to an end I realized that it is normal, I realized that the Lord needs me more than I thought, I have come to know that he loves me for who I am and for what I am doing here, he really needs me and the imperfect person that I am.

I know that this Gospel is true I know that the Lord is our Savior and Redeemer, I know that everything that we do in this life is our choice and that the Lord is watching us, he knows our desires and our dreams, I love that we have been given this amazing plan of happiness and that we know that we will be together forever and that for me is so amazing. I can't wait to be able to be sealed in the temple with our little Maiya, I love you all and miss you all so much!!!! I know that the Lord has blessed our family!!!!!

I love you all so much and miss you so much!!!! I can't wait to see you all!!!!

Week 14 in Carolina (Pontezuela)

Family and Friends.

This week was good, we are learning a lot of things. We are seeing small miracles everyday. The Lord has blessed us a lot. But not each and every week we are going to see people to teach.

But this week I want to focus on one thing super important, that is that our Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us. He has a plan for us and he wants us to return to live him. He has given each and everyone of us the opportunity to return to him and that is why he loves us. He knows that we will not be perfect here in this life but he knows that we are capable to become perfect. I am so grateful for all that the Lord has blessed me with many different talents and abilities. He knows how I will be able to bless his sons and daughters I am so grateful for all that I have learned here and all that I am going to learn throughout this last bit of time I have here.

The Lord has been able to teach me so many things, one that I have also learned is that the most important people in our lives are our families and friends, these people have helped me the most , I love you guys so much and miss you tons I hope you guys have a great week and I will talk to you next week!!!! You are all in my prayers and I can't wait to see you soon.
