Family and Friends
This
week was a good week for us. We are seeing little miracles happen
always. I was so happy to be able to listen to Conference this past
weekend I learned a lot about myself and this gospel.
This
week we were learning a lot about how we can truly find those who are
ready to listen to our message, last week we found new investigators and
we went to them this week and they listened again, we are also finding
new investigators each week.
This
past week there was a less active member that not many members or missionaries
could get into visit. just with her schedule from work not many people
could get in but this last week Elder Morales and I had the opportunity
to get in and be able to teach her and her Son, we found out that her husband is not a member but at this time doesn't really want to listen
but we are going to slowly try to gain his confidence and begin to teach
him. We feel that is the best thing for us to do.
This
past week we found someone named M. she was a reference from a
member, she is the mom of their grandchild and asked us to visit her
during the week, when we got there we taught the first lesson and she
remembered everything from the first time the missionaries taught her.
after the lesson we invited her to be baptized and she said yes, but
when she said Yes, Elder Morales asked her why she said yes, her response
is one of my favorites I have heard she said "well if Jesus was baptized
and I want to follow his example then that means I need to be
baptized!!!" That is the best answer I have heard to that question.
We
also found a young man named L. he is 19 and we found him contacting.
he let us in and we got to share the first lesson with him while we were
there. he was very shy to read for us, but we felt that we should ask
him to read and when he said ok he began to open up to us and began to
read more and talk to us more. It was a great lesson!!!
This was our week!!!
For
me this Conference was super good I learned so much about our gospel.
One of the talks that I really liked was from President Dieter F Ucthdorf on Sunday Morning I liked this talk because he explained how at
times we are all lost and that it is normal but it is through Christ
that we can be found again. I related this my mission and how I have
learned to be Obedient and how at one point I was lost but I came back
and how it doesn't matter what we do wrong the Savior will always accept
us if we are willing to come back.
